The Veterans First Program was created to honor the service, discipline, and loyalty that define military life. Our mission is to train and employ veterans to provide care for fellow veterans, building a bond grounded in shared experience and mutual respect.
Through this program, veterans who wish to continue serving can become trained caregivers, supporting other veterans in their homes with professionalism, cultural understanding, and reliability.

Military service shapes values that continue long after active duty ends. Discipline, accountability, independence, and respect remain central to daily life.
By matching veterans with veteran caregivers, we create a care experience built on shared language and lived understanding. This connection strengthens trust and allows care to be delivered in a way that preserves dignity and honors personal routine.
Our caregivers are trained to understand the unique needs of those who have served. We focus on respectful communication, consistent presence, and reliable support.
We provide the structured training and complimentary, state-mandated credentials required for eligible veterans to serve as professional caregivers, including:
First Aid and CPR certification
Background screening
Direct Care Worker training
Specialized veteran-focused caregiver training
Our team uses trauma-informed techniques to maintain emotional safety and monitor for signs of anxiety or isolation. We ensure clear, consistent communication with families and care teams to keep support stable.

Caregivers working qualifying hours may be eligible for a variety of outstanding employee benefits offered through Total Care Connections, including health and dental coverage.
Strengthened Through Community Partnerships
The Veterans First Program is supported by partnerships with respected veteran-focused organizations. By working alongside local and regional veteran groups, we help connect individuals to broader support networks and community resources.
Our goal is not only to provide in-home care, but to reinforce connection within the veteran community and create opportunities for veterans to continue serving with purpose.
Care decisions affect the entire household. We provide steady guidance for veterans and their families as they explore care options and establish a plan that fits their medical and personal needs.
Bilingual care managers are available to guide Spanish-speaking families through the onboarding process and ensure clarity at every step.
