What Is Private Duty Nursing?
What Is Private Duty Nursing?
Private Duty Nursing is one-on-one skilled nursing care provided in the home by licensed nurses (RNs or LPNs). These services are typically authorized through TRICARE for active-duty dependents or through VA Community Care for eligible veterans who require ongoing clinical monitoring. Unlike intermittent visits, this program provides a consistent, professional presence in the home for several hours at a time.

Military life brings constant transition, and establishing care should not feel overwhelming. Our team helps families navigate the TRICARE process and the Exceptional Family Member Program (EFMP) during relocations. For those separating from service, we provide expert guidance on VA Community Care—the official program for receiving care outside the VA health system—ensuring a seamless bridge to long-term veteran benefits.
